A natural Data Analyst, I am a creative communicator with strong technical skills and significant experience supporting decision making with data.

My professional capability is demonstrated by a successful track record translating requirements into solutions, engaging stakeholders and applying data to deliver results, and having extended my skillset with full-time Data Analytics training (inc. Excel, SQL, Python and Power BI) I am now eager to make an impact turning data into insights.

Full-time training in data analytics theory and practice, technical and soft skills

• Completed 12 weeks' 9-5 intensive learning programme, covering every aspect of the Data Analyst role, including data governance, legal and ethical considerations, data management and storage (ETL, relational databases, data warehouses & lakes), workflows (OLTP, OLAP), data prospecting, cleaning, transformation, analysis, statistics, visualisation and storytelling

• Delivered practical data analysis projects, both independently and working in teams:

  • Excel: analysed data and built dashboards, with formulas, pivot tables and charts

  • SQL: joined and queried datasets, validated and cleaned data, aggregated statistics

  • Python: cleaned, transformed and analysed data (pandas), created visualisations (matplotlib), extracted structured data from semi-structured (regular expressions, JSON)

  • Power BI: created visualisations, reports and dashboards, cleaned and transformed data (Power Query, M), wrote formulas for measures and calculated tables (DAX)

INTERESTS

I love all kinds of creativity and have explored a variety of projects over the years. Thriving in collaboration, I performed in theatre productions and played in a samba band, and I co-directed a youth theatre group that gave young people confidence and inspiration. Independently, I taught myself to use digital creativity tools, for video, music and art, and I enjoy playing piano and guitar.
